Jeannie Heimann

Co-Director & Enrichment Teacher

Jeannie Heimann has been teaching young children for over 25 years and began teaching at HLC in 2007.  She graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Elementary Education and went on to get her Master's in Education with an emphasis in Curriculum Development from UMBC.  While she has taught children ranging in age from 2 to 14 years old, her favorite age group has always been preschoolers.  She says it is because preschoolers are as eager to learn about the world just as badly as we want to teach it to them.  Every day teaching preschoolers brings about new development, a new creative skill, a new funny moment for everyone to laugh at, - and so much more!
When not at school, she enjoys traveling, walking, gardening and spending quality time with her husband Dave, 3 sons (who are all HLC alum), Jake (18), Noah (15) and Matthew (13) and her double doodle dog Maple.

Jenn Graic

Co-Director & 2's Teacher

A native Marylander, Jenn attended Annapolis Senior High School and graduated from Towson State University with a Bachelor's of Science in 1996.  Jenn began teaching in 2008 and came on board at Heritage in 2010.  Jenn enjoys all aspects of teaching and continues to be a life-long learner.  She finds that even the youngest students at Heritage teach her new things everyday!  Now happily married for fifteen years and mom to two previous HLC graduates now 14 and 12, you can find Jenn actively involved with her girls figure skating at the Navy Brigade Sport Complex, Girl Scouts, enjoying the outdoors (kayaking and SUPing, biking, camping, and walking) and spending time with her family and crazy mini-labradoodle, Nick!

Stacy Castle

Brianne Flaherty

3's and Enrichment Teacher

A proud Jersey girl, Bri received her BS from Montclair State University before settling down in Maryland in 2007. A parent turned volunteer, she began subbing at HLC in 2016 while two of her daughters were still students. When faced with the reality that her children would soon "graduate" from Heritage, Bri joined the staff in 2017 so she wouldn't ever have to leave HLC. Her classroom is one of fun and play, love and encouragement with time to be silly and time to learn, but most importantly, time to be a kid. When not teaching the sweet children at Heritage, Bri can be found running Girl Scout meetings, driving her girls to the dance studio or horseback riding lessons, or at home with her husband, three girls and a yellow lab.

Kathy Hogan

4's & Enrichment Teacher

Kathy Hogan and has been a teacher at Heritage Learning Center since 1993.  The years have just flown by for her.  She feels that adage about time flies when you're having fun is true!  She has always enjoyed working with young children.  Kathy graduated from the University of Connecticut with a major in Early Childhood Education.  She grew up in Connecticut but moved to Maryland in 1989. She has been a youth coach for girls lacrosse and also a PTA President.  She has a great husband and four grown children (3 boys and 1 girl).  She also has four grandchildren (2 boys and 2 girls).  Kathy says "I get very excited when my family comes to visit and will sometimes have my grandchildren come to school with me.  My youngest granddaughter will be attending Heritage this year.  Heritage Learning Center has become a second family to me."

Ashby McDonald

4's & Enrichment Teacher

A native of Richmond, Virginia, Ashby earned her Bachelor's degree from Bucknell University.  Heritage Learning Center became a home-away-from home after she moved to Annapolis some twenty plus years ago.  Both of her own children attended Heritage and she credits the school for helping to give them a successful start to their own academic journeys.  Ashby truly believes Heritage is a great place for the littlest of learners and embodies Christ's love for children.  Her outside interests include all manner of flora and fauna, which extends to the family cat, much to her husband's chagrin.

Joelle has been working with children for 30 years.  She has taught a wide-variety of ages to include pre-school through grade eight in various settings.  Joelle's degrees are in education, both at the early-childhood and elementary levels.  Joelle's philosophy is that children are a gift from God and childhood is a most precious time.  It is at the pre-school level that the foundation for all learning, both academic and social, takes place.  Joelle is honored and blessed to be working with the youngest of learners at Heritage Learning Center.  Heritage is a beautiful place to learn.
